The 2026 Financial Literacy Workshop for Women, hosted by the James Beard Foundation, is scheduled for January 20–21, 2026 at CohnReznick’s New York office (1301 6th Avenue, New York, NY). This two-day intensive “financial fitness” program is designed for women and non-binary hospitality entrepreneurs—whether launching a new concept or scaling an existing business.

BUILDING FINANCIAL SKILLS FOR GROWTH

Throughout the workshop, participants will gain hands-on training to help them secure funding, build confidence in their financial strategy, and strengthen their business foundations. Day 1 covers mindset, goal-setting, pitching, and navigating contracts or real estate deals. Day 2 dives into understanding financial statements, optimizing operations, and future-proofing the business through diversified revenue models.

NETWORKING & COMMUNITY

Beyond the curriculum, the workshop provides rich networking opportunities, including breakfast, lunch, and a cocktail reception at the James Beard House on the evening of January 20. All participants will also receive handouts, resources, and tools to take home.

WHY THIS WORKSHOP MATTERS

As part of the James Beard Foundation’s Women’s Entrepreneurial Leadership (WEL) program, this workshop supports equity in the culinary industry by giving women and non-binary entrepreneurs the financial education they need to grow sustainably.
